Francesca Bianchi Perfumes

Francesca Bianchi is an Italian-born perfumer based in Amsterdam. Before working in perfumery she studied History of Art, specializing in twentieth-century art, and worked in art-book publishing while living in cities including Florence, Berlin, Luxembourg and Amsterdam. She taught herself perfumery after a long-standing childhood interest in scent, and launched her namesake fragrance line in 2016.

Bianchi formulates her perfumes in her Amsterdam workspace, with mixing carried out by a small family-run business in Grasse, France, and bottling handled by a company in Milan, Italy. She has described her approach to materials as pragmatic, stating there are no inherently "better" or "worse" ingredients, only ones more or less suited to the idea a fragrance is meant to express.

Bianchi has spoken of perfumery as a form of artistic expression aimed at translating emotion and states of mind, and has said her main source of inspiration is human experience and connection. By 2025 her line comprised 23 perfumes.
