Flowerbomb

Viktor & Rolf · 2005

The explosive sweet floral people mean when they say a perfume smells like a bouquet dipped in sugar.

Flowerbomb layers jasmine, freesia and rose over a thick patchouli and vanilla base, so the florals read sweet and syrupy rather than green or soapy. It was one of the fragrances that pushed dense sweet-floral gourmands into the mainstream, and the format, a floral bomb sitting on patchouli, still gets imitated.
