Angel

Thierry Mugler · 1992

The patchouli-and-chocolate scent people can smell coming from another room.

Bitter dark chocolate and praline sit directly on top of raw, earthy patchouli, an odd pairing that reads as both gourmand and a little animalic. It was the first fragrance to push dessert notes this hard against something so earthy, and it still smells unlike almost anything else on shelves.
