Gods and demons, bright array,
gathered fierce at ocean’s sway.
Churned the nectar, heaven’s prize,
from milk-white sea, where wonder lies.
Waves resounded, wild and strong,
the cosmic tide in seething song.
Kurma plunged to waters deep,
upholding earth on shell to keep.
