The Story

The Ancient Egyptians rejected that old saying, “You can't take it with you.” As the door closed on their limestone tombs, the intricately wrapped dead made sure that everything they'd need for the afterlife was at arm's reach: food, perfume, clothing—even the organs from their body. Today, we think these customs quaint. And yet, consider that in a hundred years from now, the only things that remain of us may be the items we chose to save.
