Yellow Lotus

This exquisite attar, one of a series dedicated to exploring the lotus flower, evokes the mystique of an ethereal garden at dusk. At its heart, Thai lotus absolute lends an airy, aquatic note that blooms delicately, both floral and green. The subtle sweetness of the lotus is underscored by Mysore sandalwood, which adds a creamy, woody depth, balancing the floral lightness with its warm, grounding presence.

A custom spice blend introduces a hint of exotic mystery— notes of cardamom and saffron might whisper through, creating a fleeting warmth that contrasts with the coolness of the lotus. Shamama, an ancient Indian concoction, brings a rich, earthy complexity, weaving in herbal, resinous, and faintly smoky undertones that give the attar a hint of vintage opulence.

Of course it wouldn’t be RPP without a blend of ouds, sourced from Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam, which add depth and intrigue with layers that range from woody to slightly animalic. Finally, ambrette seed rounds out the scent and exalts the lotus note which keeps that note as the focal point of the fragrance.

Each attar in this series interprets the lotus just a little bit differently but all create a meditative journey through the various facets of lotus, from bright and watery to earthy and incense-like.

**I know that each Attar in the Series sounds like I'm just swapping out the Lotus in each one - but each composition is a unique composition built on the concept. DO expect these each to be unique.
