I have a natural perfumery course that I teach that is hosted by The Northwest School of Aromatic Medicine.
This is some extra material from the student kits I made for the program that I wanted to make publicly available to my customers at large.
Neroli is the name of the oil distilled from an Orange Blossom.
It tends to be more of a Top / Heart Note.
Orange Blossom Absolute is a solvent extraction of the same flower. This tends to smell quite different from its distilled sibling, Neroli, and can be a bit bitter smelling.
Orange Blossom Absolute tends to be more of a Heart Note.
In contrast to both of those - something most people have never smelled is a Neroli Absolute - which smells like an exquisite version of Neroli, but with the body and longevity of Orange Blossom Absolute. It's like the best of both worlds!
This is a small batch production from a small producer in South India - and this particular batch is stellar!
