CONCEPT

Athanor is carried by spiritual exploration. The fascination of the alchemist’s effort to search for and find ways to convert the plain and banal into beauty and a higher level. Spiritualty through mystique. That’s why Athanor came alive.

Athanor: The Crucible. The melting spot where metals meet and change. The burning flames underneath – Incendium Amoris – The Fire of Love. Like a living creature can change when exposed to the heat of life. For good or worse.

Interpretation of the alchemistic work through the nose:

A diffused heat, or rather a glow.

Human baseness begins to dissolve.

A translucent silver, cold but alive.

Purification.

And then a vibrant gold is revealed behind the initial heat.

The result of the transformation.

Spiritual love that unites.

Listen to your nose. Always. Feel the Sulphur evaporating from the process. Giving way to a delicate body of saffron and flowers, finding its space between incense and precious wood. Let the Athanor enhance your personality and lead your way.

Athanor’s ambitious project has involved great artists and countless hours. After two years of dedicated craftmanship and cooperation the olfactory formulation was signed by Luca Maffei and acknowledged by Stefania Squeglia.

PACKAGING

The cap was finalized by Carmine Borreli known as Nibo, goldsmith and sculptor. He is meticulous and scientific in his execution and a deeply inspired and creative artist. Two human figures concentrated in the work with the Crucible of the Athanor symbolizing the right celebratory context of the ritual connected to this archaic work.

Nibo has made the bronze change in colour to illustrate the beauty and the evolution that is made possible by Mother Fire.

Ethics and aesthetics melt together in a fusion that shows the way for the human psyche.

A raw golden nugget appears on the flacon bottom.

A fragment of light and beauty.

This fragment signifies the whole from which we came. And the whole we should achieve to once again be.
