NUMINA

I wanted to create a fragrance that, in some small way, might capture an experience of walking through natural spaces that are alive with glorious scents emanating from the sheer beauty of pure wilderness – that sense of just being in the right place at the right time.

Perhaps the warmth of the sun has caused volatile oils to be released on the breeze from the leaves of trees, or you’re suddenly surrounded by an exquisite cloud of nectar from blossoms that only open in the evening, when a Summer rain-shower triggers their bloom. It is a moment of magic that produces an altered state, a pause in otherwise busy human time… to merge with the synergies of nature and to marvel at the wonder of being alive.

NUMINA (pronounced NOO-minna) is a Latin word from Ancient Roman mythology meaning guiding forces, deities and protectors of places.

NUMINA (the perfume) is a refinement of my favourite spicy green leather/musk theme – one I have worked on previously in Lyonesse (2012/original formula) and Cernunnos (2017). This composition is the definitive full-stop on this harmony of elements – it’s just right…

Featured Notes include:- Bergamot, Cypress, Black Spruce, Cardamon, Cinnamon, Ambrette seed, Tonka bean, Vanilla , premium grade Hindi oudh and Frankincense.
