Blacklight

I've been on a huge blacklight kick lately, as you can probably tell from The Fumery's increasingly fluorescent color scheme.

So naturally, I wanted to know what a blacklight poster smells like.

Blacklight was an exercise in contrast: electric fluorescence against a dark backdrop, bright enough to glow without becoming obnoxious. I built it using a suite of materials I'd never worked with before, combining electric fruit, 80s candy, black velvet and fluorescent vinyl into something deliberately artificial, vivid and strange.

Here's the weird part: I don't particularly like any of its individual components.

Together, I am obsessed.

Blacklight became my personal favorite of the collection almost by accident. I've worn it daily throughout development, and it continues to surprise me every time I put it on.

And despite the fruit and candy, this is not a gourmand fragrance. Those notes behave more like fluorescent pigment, glowing against the dark, velvety background rather than turning sugary or edible.

It probably doesn't smell like whatever you're imagining from that description.

You'll just have to smell it for yourself.

Seriously. Get a sample, at least.

Electric fruit accord, black velvet, 80s candy, fluorescent vinyl

Each fragrance arrives in a 15ml amber glass bottle with a dropper cap. Samples arrive in 1ml glass bottle, the style of which may vary.

Each room spray arrives in a 4 oz glass bottle with a spray cap.
