If you're not yet familiar with my Indonesian Series of Vacuum Distilled oils... you've been missing out!

This is a very unique single-tree distillation from Muting Meroke. Meroke is an area of Papua Island generally known for its swamp and mangrove buried woods. However - this is made from a Live Tree - as opposed to the Dead / Swamp Woods of Merauke / Meroke in the far South. Yielding a lush, green, vibrant Filaria oil that’ll stick in your nose for hours just smelling from the bottle.

I've seen oils like this sell for thousands of dollars a bottle, and I think you'll understand why. It's a rare type of tonal quality to the oil, and it's a very enjoyable wear.

SCENT

The first thing I notice about this oil is the viscosity. It's thick, but not syrupy. I imagine with age, this oil will thicken a little further, as it's already gotten thick in the better part of a year since we juiced it.

From the bottle, it’ll blitz your nose, straight to your brain with a piercing greenness. Many who have seen samples have noted how the scent will stick in their noses for several hours, even just smelling straight from the bottle. Muting is anything but muted - chalk full of lively nuances, and bursting with vibrancy.

Despite being from Papua, there’s also some likeness to the Sweetness of East Malaysian oils - as well as an interesting Oceanic Silani vibe.

In sitting down to write the description for Muting, and found myself a bit perplexed. As simple as “Oceanic / Jungle / Earthy” sounds, the complexity of nuance and the sweetness of lush greenery has my mind bound up in imagery I can’t quite find words for.

Those with a fondness for Meroke oils, mostly made from dead swamp woods, know how flat they tend to smell. In contrast - you’ll note just how lively my Vacuum Series of distilled Live Tree Filaria oils are - and just how RARE this green scent profile is. And the depth of that Filaria Oud resin note - ugh - to die for!!

If you like darker, complex, deep and nuanced Oud oils... you're in for a real treat. If lush jungle is your jam, get the toast ready - because you’ll be lathering this all over.

It's an incredibly exciting oil to wear, and a super rare and special treat given that it's both a Live Tree Distillation, and from a SINGLE Live Tree, at that.
