Étude No. 04: Boisé

An accord isn't found, it's built — two materials producing a wood that neither one is on its own. This Étude combines Robertet's Cedar Atlas Heart, a fractionated blend of the woodiest, leathery, ambery-toned cuts of Cedarwood Atlas, with Bois Des Landes, a co-extraction of French pine resinoid and Virginia cedarwood carrying a fir-balsam base and a blackcurrant top note — not an isolated molecule either, because it's carried the whole way through la Un.e, the constant eau de parfum every Étude is written against. What you're wearing is always a finished perfume, never a fragment.

Reads as: leather, balsam, blackcurrant.
