Étude No. 02: Guaiyl Acetate

Guaiacwood is wood; distilled, fractionated, and acetylated, it reads as something else entirely. This Étude uses Guaiyl Acetate, made from rectified guaiacwood oil: woody in name, but its actual signature is tea rose laced with smoke and balsam — not an isolated molecule either, because it's carried the whole way through la Un.e, the constant eau de parfum every Étude is written against. What you're wearing is always a finished perfume, never a fragment.

Reads as: woody, tea rose, smoky.
