Oud Yusuf Royale

There were only two versions of Oud Yusuf: The original 2011 distillation, and the follow-up 2012 one. I kept a small quantity of the original to myself before the rest sold out.

Don’t ask how the inspiration came to me, but I ended up infusing my personal stash of ’11 with Oud Royale II. The result was obviously out of this world— the lilac beauty of Oud Yusuf swimming in a pool of violets, purple and narcotic… kinamic. And I’m kicking myself for not doing the same with what remained of the now sold out 2012 distillation as well. I could have, and I should have.

And there it is: The prettiest oud enchanted by that vintage Filipino’s femme fatale.
