Fat layers of olde oud spattered with black pepper marinated in nutmeg and rosewood. Smell that fresh swipe open with a tinge of mandarin that punctuates a unique sweet-spicy chord you could only describe as… “No 3”.

Of course, it’s not the mandarin or the pepper or the spices – not even the oud – alone that creates this titillating sweetness. Nor is it only that distinct lemony hue inherent in the smoothest Ta’ifi rose petals extracted in the 80s that does it…

No 3 Attar showcases the world’s most precious olfactory relics, unadulterated – literally the same historic rarities that lifetimes ago made up first-class ghalias – infused into each other.

A medley of Tonkin, Tibetan, and Mongolian musk pods likely dating back to the Umayyid and Abbasid dynasties, lacquered in Vintage Myitkyina oud you can’t think of distilling today. How often do you even hear of Myitkyina oud? And on the off chance you do, remember: this is the granddaddy, distilled in the 80s – in Sultan Qaboos’ private distillery (now retired).

If I could choose one attar to present to the Sultan himself, this would be it. Rich, diffusive liqueur heavy rose oud wafts that smell of another time. An elegant oud-rose-musk attar brought to life only because the maddest fraghead of our times kept this fragrant heritage alive so that you and I could still experience the bliss of all these fragrant relics drunk on each others’ presence, fighting for space in the same bottle – this bottle – until they finally give up and become one.
