Inspired by the ‘white gold’ that appears occasionally on Scottish beaches and the alchemy of time & tide, The Grudge finds beauty in the unexpected: the journey of ambergris from the craw of the sperm whale, rolled on the tide, retrieved from a beach and tinctured into a bottle. A metaphor for the alchemy of presence.
Character: Elegant; brutal; raw

Top Notes: Wormwood, Frankincense, Copal resin
Opens bitterly, fading to a herbal, saline heart.
Heart Notes: Tea, Seaweed, Calamus
Herbal, saline, and contemplative, evoking both the sea and moments of reflection.
