Vetiver Coeur

After years of searching, I finally found a beautiful, “soft” Vetiver with a soothing heart note, which enabled me to eliminate the strong, bitter note found often in Vetiver root. This perfume opens with an unusual citrus accord, which is very prominent and long lasting. It is followed by a mix of Iris, Orange Flower, and Rose. These eventually lead you into the long-awaited base note of the Vetiver dry down: which finally rewards with a smoldering, velvety accord.

The Vetiver plant used in this perfume comes from Haiti, where the oil is crucial to an estimated 60,000 people relying on it as their primary source of income. It was important to me to use a raw material that is from an established, sustainable and ethical sourcing of Vetiver and supports rural communities in southwest Haiti by creating cooperatives that enable small farmers to adopt socially and ecologically responsible production of Vetiver oil. (10% of the proceeds of this perfume, will be donated these communities). This shines a light on the importance of what goes into a bottle of perfume and how it gets there when wearing a perfume made with Vetiver.

Top notes: Lemon, Bergamot, Red Mandarin, Pink Pepper, Nutmeg, Coriander

Middle Notes: Orange Flower Absolute, Clary Sage, Iris, Rose Absolute

Base Notes: Vetiver Haiti, Sandalwood, Cedarwood Virginia, Orris Root, Tobacco, Carnation, Tonka Bean

This perfume is infused with Herkimer Diamond and Clear Crystal.
